Welcome to Sicily and the Valley of the Temples. Welcome to Racalmuto 20 minutes from Agrigento down town. Welcome to B&B Tra I Frutti, a big country house with swimming pool, in a area that lies between the hills and the sea, set amid olive trees, citrus groves and vineyards, a unique place where you can relish the fragrance of almond flowers.

We welcome you amid the fruit and to the countryside, where the weary traveller can rest and unwind after a sunlit day spent discovering beaches, hamlets perched beneath imposing towers, timeworn churches, winding country roads and mountain pathways. You may choose to spend your days in our recently-built country villa or in the old, refurbished country house with its stone walls.

There is a choice of five rooms and you are free to select one which best suits your personal taste in accordance with their colour, fragrance, and your favourite fruit. All five rooms have own private bathroom and are equipped with television and air-conditioning. The structure has a parking area for guests. We speak English, French and Spanish.

Location:

Agrigento lies along the south coast of Sicily, connected to the rest of the island by an extensive network of streets and by rail. B&B Tra I Frutti is very easy and quick to reach taking the highway SS 640 from Agrigento or from Caltanisetta that is the exit of the motorway A19 (Catania-Palermo). By car: from Catania, take the Autostrada A19 for Palermo and take the Caltanissetta exit. Continue on Statale 640 until you reach the second exit for Racalmuto (Racalmuto Castrofilippo) at the 26 Kilometre. From Palermo, take Autostrada A19 toward Catania, and exit at Villabate. Follow Statale 121 and continue for 118 km until you reach Agrigento. You take Statale 640 for Caltannissetta until you reach the second exit for Racalmuto (Racalmuto Castrofilippo) at the 25 kilometre. From Siracusa, follow the coastal route on Statale 115 via Noto, Ragusa and Gela until you reach Agrigento.Then take SS640 for Caltanissetta until you reach the second exit for Racalmuto (Racalmuto Castrofilippo) at the 25 kilometre. If you are coming from continental Italy, take Autostrada A3 Salerno-Reggio Calabria, and exit at Villa San Giovanni, then take the ferryboat for Messina. From Messina, take the Autostrada A18 for Catania. Continue on the A19 toward Catania-Palermo and take the Caltanissetta exit. Continue on Statale 640 until you reach Racalmuto. By train: Agrigento and Racalmuto have a train station, but except for Palermo (about 2 hours away), connections to other destinations in Sicily are scarce. If you are arriving from Taormina or Catania, you will have to change trains once or twice. For train schedules, consult Trenitalia's website, or call their toll-free number: 89 20 21. By bus: The best way to arrive and depart to and from Agrigento is by bus (Tourist Information +39.0922.20391). S.A.I.S. From the airport, the shuttle train "Trinacria Express" leaves about every half hour from Palermo Central Station, with many trains going to Agrigento (about a 2 hour trip). There is also a bus service which runs from the airport directly to Agrigento, operated by SAL (Phone: +39.0922.401360). An alternative is the International Airport of Catania (CTA) which offers connections with all the major Italian and European airports, including all the capital cities. SAIS Trasporti operates a bus service running directly from the airport to Agrigento (about a 2.5 hour trip).
